What are the Roles in Collaborate?

The role assigned to each participant determines the authority that participant has, as well as which features are available for that participant to use; This includes the ability to share audio, video, or media during a Collaborate session.

The four roles available in Collaborate are:

The moderator controls how all content is shared in the collaborate platform. They also control the roles that other participants can have during a Collaborate session.

Presenters are able to lead a Collaborate session and share media.

Participants are able to receive content and engage in a Collaborate session by receiving and sharing audio, video, and text messages.

Captioners are given a place to type what is being said by the presenter to allow access for participants who might be English Language Learners or are hearing impaired.
