How do I create Gradebook categories?


Adding Gradebook Categories

  1. Locate the Administration block and click Gradebook Setup under Course administration once you have turned editing on.


  2. Click on the Setup tab and the Gradebook setup tab.

  3. Scroll down and select the Add category button.

  4. Enter a Category name and Show more.

  5. Determine the appropriate Aggregation method and Grade category options.

  6. Although natural aggregation is recommended if you are using an alternative aggregation method you will need to determine Grade type and Maximum and Minimum grades for the category.

  7. Click Save changes.
    Save changes

  8. A folder will appear indented. Now that the categories have been created you may add graded items to the category.
