What is lecture capture?

Lecture capture is a video streaming tool that instructors use to record and share multimedia with students. These recordings may be viewed by students via the web. Lecture capture recordings may also be used by instructors to record presentations or demonstrations for face to face and/ or online classes.

The lecture capture tool used on campus is Echo360. Instructors are able to download the Echo360 Personal Capture software to create their recordings. These recordings are then uploaded to the personal library of the instructor at Echo360.org. After a video has been uploaded to Echo360.org, the lecture capture recording may be shared with students via a URL hyperlink.
