Sometimes large PowerPoint presentations can be best uploaded as a .pdf instead. Please consider the necessity of using a PowerPoint. The necessitates your students to download a larger file and open up PowerPoint, if they can, to view your content. If there is no animation or audio, a PowerPoint is probably unnecessary. If your file contains a large amount of graphics and design elements, sometimes the file may become larger than the maximum file size specified by the instructor for your course. On average by default, most courses are conducted with the a maxmimum file upload size set to 5MB for a resource or assignment.
In a collective effort to keep the storage and speed requirements of Moodle sustainable, please commit to a general practice of reducing the file sizes of documents, .pdfs and presentations to below 2MB.
- Go to the File menu.
- Select Save as.
- Select the location to save your document.
- In the Save as type drop-down menu, choose PDF.

- Click Save, and you're done!
